KR, Marty, and Igor scan the moon of the Dead Planet. A harpoon from the surface locks on to the Aphrodite shortly after. The crew is unable to detach and are pulled towards the moon. At the end of its descent the harpoon cord snaps and sends the Aphrodite into the northern hemisphere. The ship skids and falls on to its side. KR is able to make it out safely while Marty and Igor climb to freedom. 

KR is intercepted by an awkward humanoid named Verger carrying an android carcass-torso named Kalm. He’s disgusted. Kalm explains there is a brutalist underground colony 15 minutes away from their crash site. Kalm offers them entry into the colony in exchange for their ship (to be scrapped) and all of their possessions. In return they will have oxygen, food, water, and shelter.

The crew does not accept this deal. Kalm explains they will have the Aphrodite's possessions eventually when the life support systems run out. Marty rigs a way back into the Aphrodite. Igor wakes a teamster from cryosleep named Beef. He's a mechanical/archaelogical/repairman. KR detaches the old warp core and throws it outside the ship. Marty scans the Aphrodite and detects something linked to the warp drive. Strangely, the ship requests a new warp core inserted into its place immediately. Marty takes the remaining fresh warp core and brings it to the command module, far away from the warp drive. KR speaks with Co-Pilot: this moon is dangerous: there is little information surrounding it. 

After being informed of the situation Co-Pilot asks if the colony has any information on the “GAUNT.” KR requests a definition and is denied further access. 

Beef suggests they utilize the drop ship and APC. The crew drive towards a marker on their initial scan and find the skeleton ruins of the Perennial Tyrant, the colony ship Kalm and the other colonists were originally from 10 years ago. Inside the ruins are weapons, MREs, and some scrap equipment. 

The crew drives towards another marker and finds the massive electromagnetic harpoon surrounded by a coliseum of junk. Behind the harpoon is a huge hot metal cube, and beside it are two airlock bunkers. They knock on the smaller airlock and are met with Indian music, eventually leading into a small chamber habitated by Brekt, the leader of the Breakers (the colony's scrappers and heavy soldiers). He’s finishing using heroin and cocaine. He has a marine neo-samurai philosophy. Tons of books, star charts, maps of interstellar regions. Kalm had previously stated that Malta, the leader of the still-unseen Tyrant Beggar colony, assures there is no chance of escaping the moon of the dead Planet. After discovering he’s a bit of a black sheep to Malta the crew questions Brekt about his aspirations of leaving this moon. Brekt takes them into a deeper basement bunker which leads to a massive jury-rigged, patched-together rocket ship he calls “my baby, the Lucifer Rising.”

2 weeks of food and water remaining for (4) crew members aboard the Aphrodite.

Day 1: 09 hours post-cryo.

3 months of thrusters and life-support operations for the Aphrodite. Fuel leakage shortening approximate time to 1.5 months of thrusters and life-support operations until fuel leakage is repaired.

1: Another Bug Hunt Asher: Doc Marty. Justin: Ghoul. Scotty: Jakun. Doc Marty and his rat, Ghoul and his dog, LCpl Wieg, and Jakun drop down on Sansa VI to investigate the abandoned colony Greta Base. After some investigation an infected marine was found in the garage. He hatched into an adult carcinid and chased the crew through the base. Wieg’s eyes are gouged out by the carc and she’s killed.  Marty and Ghoul (after nearly dying twice) escape to the medbay and discover the specimen samples. Jakun, partway infected, retains consciousness and turns the power on. The crew reconvenes at the command center.  Jakun repairs the comms while Ghoul and Marty retrieve the specimen samples through the vents. After hailing the Aphrodite and running to escape they run into the carcinid in the commissary. BALDRIC & BROM 1: Jawbone and the Toad

Young Knights-Errant; Baldric the Gilded Knight , a beautiful force of violence in a short-and-shiny package, and his squire Dorf ; Brom the Rune Knight , a hulking thoughtful behemoth, and his squire Noll . Visitors from a distant Realm. They are instantly cursed by false paths amongst eastern bluffy crags. Dorf takes a watch all night and nearly depletes his Clarity to 0 (it is left at 1). The next day the Company runs into a logging team of warty guards captained by Jabek . He wears full plate with a frog helm, but is NOT a Knight. The warty guards mention “The Toad,” and how they’re gathering materials for his castle. TTR 8: "We must not wait"

  Scotty: Drim. Calvin: Brooke/Cliff. Grandaunt Ngeng will not wed! Middle Month of Summer.  Day 6, beginning of night watch.  HEX L. Tree, and rebirth Drim, Brooke, Shiri, and Alira discuss the next course of action. Alira must head north with her two children to rejoin her village. Shiri must head north with Yamin to return the scepter to Grandaunt Ngeng. Krun will follow the duo of Drim and Brooke. The duo decides they will head north as well, after Krun shows confidence in Nana's raid of Once Soot. Shiri explains that only Children of the Forest can pass under the shade of Grandaunt Ngeng's tree, and that if Brooke wishes to travel north he will have to undergo a Cleaving at the hands of Krun. There's a 5% chance of immediate death. The "Zum" will be shred from Brooke's body, birthing a Child of the Forest with his memories. Brooke agrees.
